Brief description

Follow the Royals season

Who am I?

Since moving to Kansas City I have closley followed the Royals, even as a Season Ticket Holder for several seasons. In this Time I have seen the team go through several rebuilding efforts and lots of players. Now I think they are on the right path building around a solid core of young players.

I will be looking to draw on my experience covering the Cleveland Indains in the early 90's to track the Royals all season long right here.

I am also the Internet Sales Manager at Honda of Tiffany Springs and maintain www.hondaoftiffanysprings.com please check it out when you can.

It looks like Luke Hoceaver and Kyle Davies are reaching out to grab onto the 4th and 5th spots of the rotation early in the Spring. Davies has been very sharp twice following last September and Hoceaver pitched 3 scoreless today. With Horacio Ramierz having to pitch his way out of the rotation (he's trying), its going to be an uphill climb for Brian Bannister and he gave up a couple of runs today.

The battles are ending early posted on 03/04/2009

It's only a week into the Spring Training Season and the battles seem to be winding down already.  Especially in the Starting rotation.
Of course Zack Greinke and Gil Meche are locks at 1 or 2 or 2 and 1, doesn't really matter.  The 3 spot looks to be Horacio Ramierz unless he just pitches his way out of the spot ( a distinct possibility) as a left-hander he'll get a lot of shots at the spot. Now the 4 and 5 spots are coming down to Kyle Davies, Luke Hoceaver and Brian Bannister.  The early returns look good for Davies and Hoceaver, the former #1 overall pick in the draft.  Bannister, the deck looks stacked against him and he got hit a bit today.

Let me know what you think....
